Thomas R. Krause, age 30 of Parker, Colorado, a former Ogallala resident, passed away on Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at Presbyterian St. Luke’s Hospital in Denver, Colorado.

Tom was born June 13, 1978 in Hastings, Nebraska the son of Steve and Joan (Korth) Krause. Tom grew up and attended schools in Ogallala. He participated on the Ogallala High School Basketball team and was a member of the Boots and Saddles 4-H Club. He graduated from the Ogallala High School with the Class of 1997. Tom graduated from the University of Nebraska at Kearney with a degree in Construction Management in 2002. He was a project manager for the M.W. Golden Company in Colorado.

Tom was a member of St. Luke’s Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed deer hunting and was Denver Bronco and Avalanche fan. He was an avid Nebraska Husker fan and especially enjoyed attending Coloradoans for Nebraska locations.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Lolan Krause; an aunt, Renee Korth and a cousin, Matt Hartman.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, December 8^th at St. Luke’s Catholic Church with Father Bryan Ernest as celebrant. Cremation will follow the services with inurnment in the Ogallala Cemetery.

Rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 7^th at St. Luke’s Catholic Church. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Sunday at the Gubser Funeral Home and at the church prior to the Rosary and Mass. A memorial has been established in his memory.
