Richard Le Schwab, age 55 of Ogallala, went to be with his Lord on Monday, July 26, 2010 at the Ogallala Community Hospital after nine long years of battling his health issues.

He was born September 26, 1954 at Aberdeen, SD, the son of Frank W. and Mary Ann (Young) Schwab. Richard grew up in Oceanside, California and attended Oceanside High School. He and his wife Patti moved to Ogallala from Colorado to make their home in October of 2009.

Richard accepted Christ as his Personal Savior on June 3, 1979, just three weeks after meeting his future wife, Patti. The couple married on December 14, 1979 in Westminster, Colorado. Richard enjoyed all aspects of life; sports, music, cars and art. He was a kind and loving husband, father and grandfather and always worked hard to provide for his wife and his two sons. He was a doting "Poppa" to his precious granddaughter, Caylin, and loved spending time with her.

Survivors include: his wife, Patti Schwab of Ogallala; two sons, Shane (Shannon) Schwab of Missoula, MT and Derek (Stephanie) Schwab of Thornton, CO; granddaughter, Caylin Schwab of Thornton, CO; parents, Frank and Mary Schwab of Kingman, AZ; sister, Linda (David) White of Fredericksburg, WV. He was preceded in death by an infant son, Michael and an infant daughter, Sarah.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 29th at the Gubser Funeral Chapel with his brother in law, Pastor Douglas Morris officiating. Cremation will follow the services.
