Ramona Denbo Ramona Denbo, age 77 of Ogallala, passed away January 17, 2008 in Grant County, Nebraska. She was born September 25, 1930 in Hamlet, Nebraska the daughter of Glover Cleveland and Adeliane Katherine (Douglas) Denbo.
Ramona received her education in Hamlet, Nebraska. She moved to Ogallala in 1955 where she worked for Good-All Electric for thirty two years. Ramona built stacks and worked in the plating shop with components. She never worried about what her male coworkers had to say and would hand it right back to them. She was known to usually top their stories. She retired in 1989.
Ramona belonged to the American Legion Auxiliary and was a past president of the VFW Auxiliary. She was also a member of the Ogallala Moose Lodge. Ramona was a jokester. She had a love for music, baseball and had been very active in Keeping Ogallala Beautiful. She always enjoyed giving out "treats" to the neighborhood kids.
Survivors include: Granddaughter, Terri (Reyna) and husband Paul Asche of Grand Island, NE Great Grandsons, Andrew "Tiger" and Austin Asche Great Granddaughters, Alyssa and Autumn Asche Sister, Shirley and husband Ray Witt of Buffalo, MO Several nieces and nephews including, Sherry and husband Bert Wright of Oxford, NE Linda and husband Jess Jones of Palisade, NE She was preceded in death by: Her parents; a son, Dallas Denbo; brothers, Willard, Alan & Eugene; sisters, Marjorie, Cleo, Viva, Regina & Dorla
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 22, 2008 at the Gubser Funeral Chapel with Father Bryan Ernest of St. Luke’s Catholic Church officiating. Burial will be in the cemetery in Hamlet, Nebraska.
