Marita M. DeVoe, age 67 of Ogallala, passed away on Tuesday morning, September 21, 2010 at her home, after a long battle with cancer, surrounded by her family.

Marita was born September 17, 1943 in Ogallala, the daughter of Ervin J. and Evelyn A. (Brown) Bahnsen. She attended grade school in Grant and later attended the Ogallala High School, graduating in 1961. On August 26, 1962 she married Harold DeVoe in Ogallala.

Marita had been employed at the First National Bank in Ogallala and most recently at the Nebraska Public Power District office in Ogallala. She was a member of the Ogallala United Methodist Church, a church circle and PEO.

She loved to read and spend time with her family and especially attending her grandchildren's activities. Marita accepted Christ as her savior many years ago and knew she was going to heaven. She never had a bad thing to say about anyone and always put everyone else before herself. She was a very loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed by everyone.
