Marian Langmacher
Marian Pauline Langmacher, age 85, a longtime Brule resident, passed away on Sunday, December 30, 2007 at the Ogallala Community Hospital. She was born March 15, 1922 on the family farm south of Paxton, the daughter of Paul and Mary (Fellner) Perlinger. Marian attended country school through the eighth grade and graduated from Paxton High School in 1940.
She was employed with the telephone company in Omaha during World War II and later returned to Paxton. She married Leo Langmacher on June 28, 1948 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Paxton. They farmed near Sarben and moved to Brule in 1959. Her hobbies included sewing and crocheting. She was a lifetime member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Paxton and a member of St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Ogallala.
Survivors include: Her husband, Leo Langmacher of Brule Daughters, Deborah (John) Frates of Brule Lynda (Cecil) Hinrichs of Brule Grandchildren, Niki (Aaron) Salomon of Gothenburg Anne (Zach) Even of Lander, WY Michael Frates of Seward, NE Great Granddaughter, Avery Salomon of Gothenburg Sisters, Clara (Larry) Wamsley of Ogallala Edna (Myron) Thomas of Dateland, AZ Brother, William Perlinger of Paxton And many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Mary Perlinger; sisters, Martha Perlinger and Lucille Jayne; and brother, Paul Perlinger.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 4, 2008 at St. Luke’s Catholic Church with Father Bryan Ernest officiating. Committal services will be held at 12:30 p.m. at the Paxton Cemetery.
Rosary will be recited at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 3rd at the Gubser Funeral Chapel.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Rosary on Thursday.
