Lillian Tekla Marie Hansen, age 86 of Ogallala, passed away Sunday, May 9, 2010 at the Ogallala Community Hospital. She was born July 3, 1923 at Ogallala the daughter of Joseph and Matilda (Cours) Jasnoch.

Lillian grew up in Ogallala and attended the Ogallala High School. She married Troy Jeffres in November of 1949 at St. Luke's Catholic Church in Ogallala. She was employed at the Montgomery Wards store in Ogallala.

They moved to Arizona where Troy passed away in January of 1962. Lillian moved back to Ogallala later that year and was employed at TRW.

She married grant Hansen at St. Luke's Catholic Church in Ogallala in October of 1963. They made their home in Arthur before moving to Ogallala where Grant started his trenching and digging business. They bought an acreage north of Ogallala where they enjoyed raising a garden to share with their friends.

Lillian enjoyed people. She was known for her friendliness and her hugs. She enjoyed family, playing cards and going to the Senior Center. She and Grant also enjoyed attending the grandchildren's school activities. She was known as "Granny or Grandma", the name given to her by Grant.

She was a lifelong member of St. Luke's Catholic Church and was involved with the Altar Society, Rosary group and the prayer chain. Lillian had many friends at the Ogallala Housing and the Keith County Senior Center.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Troy Jeffres and Grant Hansen; sisters, Lucille, Evangeline Jeffres and Lavina Devino; and brothers, Gilbert and Longene Jasnoch.

Great grandchildren, Kristen Mahler, Lauren and Landon Brott, Shelby and Alex Larsen, and Noel Terry.

Brothers, Myron "Bud" (Jodie) Jasnoch of Ogallala, Edwin (Joan) Jasnoch of Oshkosh, NE

Sister in law, Nancy Jasnoch of Ogallala, Brother in law, Pat Devino of North Platte, NE and many nieces and nephews including Connie Whittemore of Ogallala.
