Jerry Lanckriet

             Clarence "Jerry" Lanckriet, age 76 of Ogallala, passed away Friday morning, November 12, 2010 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney.

            Jerry was born May 30, 1934 in Julesburg, Colorado, the son of Edward and Suzanne (Klug) Lanckriet.  He grew up and attended school in Julesburg.  He farmed for his mother and worked for neighbors to help with the family income.

            He was employed for a Denver heating company and in 1972 moved to Ogallala to work for Erthum's Heating.  He married Donna Appleyard in 1973.  Jerry later farmed for Ed Borowski for sixteen years until his health forced his early retirement in 1990.  He was a member of St. Luke's Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers in infancy both named Henry; and brothers, Donald, Fred, Edmund and Francis Lanckriet

             Rosary will be recited at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 16th at St. Luke's Catholic Church followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. with Father Bryan Ernest as celebrant.  Following the luncheon at the church burial will be in the Hillside Cemetery in Julesburg, Colorado.

            A memorial has been established in his memory.  Online condolences may be sent at gubserfuneralhome.com.  Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Monday at the Gubser Funeral Home and at the church prior to services.
