Hannah Koerting

Hannah V. Koerting, age 87, a former Keystone resident, passed away Friday, April 11, 2008 at the Ogallala Community Hospital. She was born December 23, 1920 in LaCrosse, Kansas the daughter of Henry and Eva (Reiger) Brening.

She moved to Brush, Colorado with her family at age thirteen and later graduated from the Greeley, Colorado High School. She married Clifford “Dutch” Koerting on April 5, 1966 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The couple resided in Lincoln, Nebraska where Hannah had been employed as a cook. They came to Keystone to make their home in 1974.

She was preceded in death by her husband on November 1, 2006. Graveside services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 17th at Ft. McPherson National Cemetery south of Maxwell with Pastor Mark Baldwin officiating.
