Elva Marble Elva Lucille Marble, age 75 of Ogallala, passed away Thursday, May 12, 2011 at Indian Hills Manor in Ogallala. Elva was born December 28, 1935 at Ravenna, Nebraska the daughter of Floyde and Mamie (Ondrak) Shively. She grew up in the Shelton, Nebraska area. On July 15, 1950 she married Robert Richmond Land, Sr. in Bushnell, Nebraska. The family moved to Greeley, Colorado in 1963 where Elva worked at McCowan Hall at UNC in the kitchen. In 1968 Elva moved to Ogallala where she met Richard Marble. In Ogallala she was employed at the Hungry Indian Café, Union 76 Truck Stop and TRW. She enjoyed gardening, camping, fishing, eating out with friends and playing bingo. Survivors include: Daughters, Linda (Ray) Schultz of Holyoke, CO Patty Land of Pines Bluff, WY Son, Randy (Kaye) Land of Gilcrest, CO And several grandchildren and great grandchildren She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Richmond Land, Sr.; sons, Robert Richmond Land, Jr., Fred Eugene Land and John Howard Land; granddaughter, Amy Lynn Schultz; and her second husband, Dick Marble. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 18th at the Gubser Funeral Chapel with Pastor Jon Dickmander of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Brule officiating. A family committal service will be held at a later date at the Linn Grove Cemetery in Greeley, Colorado. Online condolences may be sent at gubserfuneralhome.com.
