Dean Robbins

Dean Robbins, age 83 of Ogallala, passed away on Saturday, December 29, 2007 at his home.

 He was born June 28, 1924 in Sidney, Nebraska the son of Howard and Mildred (Eichelberger) Robbins. Dean graduated from the Ogallala High School in 1943. Following his graduation he worked for a short time at Goodall Electric and at Greenlee’s Clothing Store in Ogallala.

 Dean visited the Mayo Clinic and Denver to doctors due to his ill health. He worked as a car salesman for Ken Harding and also sold Yamaha motorcycles. Dean sold antiques from his home and constructed a small antique shop by his home before purchasing the barn on Railroad Street. He was forced to retire when his health failed.

 He is survived by his wife, Marcella “Pat” Robbins of Ogallala Several nieces and nephews including Gregg Hoover of North Platte He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant son and three sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 2, 2008 at the Gubser Funeral Chapel with Father Bryan Ernest officiating.

Burial will be in the Ogallala Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the services on Wednesday.
