Ben Freels, age 77 of Ogallala, passed away on Monday, October 4, 2010 at his home. He was born August 12, 1933 in Clinton, Tennessee.

Ben married Ruth Robinson from Oliver Springs, Tennessee. The couple moved to Baltimore where they made their home for fifty four years. Ben was a supervisor for Mideastern Box Corporation for over thirty years.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth Freels of Ogallala; a daughter, Barbara and husband Rev. Ken Dyches of Ogallala; a grandson, Ken and wife Elizabeth Dyches of Moreno Valley, CA; a granddaughter, Sonja and husband Jacob Waren of Concord, NC; five great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, two brothers and a granddaughter.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 7th at the Gubser Funeral Chapel with Reverend Ken Dyches officiating. Burial will be in the Ogallala Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday and prior to services on Thursday at the Gubser Funeral Home.
